FAQs

What is your current employment status?

I recently wrapped up my last role, so I’m proactively looking for a new position.

Can you walk me through your current transition?

I was recently impacted by an acquisition-driven restructuring.

What was your role at Pro Football Focus?

I was the Senior Product Designer at Pro Football Focus, leading design for a B2B data platform used by all 32 NFL teams and 180+ collegiate programs. Drove end-to-end product design; from research and workflow analysis to prototyping and delivery, translating complex football data into intuitive tools. Partnered closely with product, engineering, and data teams, while integrating AI-driven features like natural language search and chat to enhance how users explore and act on insights.

At FieldLevel you were both a Senior Product Designer & Product Manager. Do you mind elaborating on that?

Started at FieldLevel as a Product Designer, partnering closely with product and engineering, and was later promoted to Senior Product Designer. As the company scaled and expanded product teams, I stepped into a flexible, cross-functional role; moving between teams to support growth and continuity. Brought a hybrid skill set across product design, product management, and visual design, helping teams ship effectively while adapting to evolving business needs.

What are your work location preferences? (Onsite, Hybrid, Remote)

On-site 5 days a week sure… I love and value office time. Remote or hybrid… that’s fine with me too.

Are you open to contract work?

I’m open to full-time, contract, contract-perm!

What are you looking for in your next company?

I’m looking for a strong product design team where I can contribute as a senior IC on complex UX and research-driven work, while also growing my leadership scope over time through mentorship and cross-functional ownership. I’m not strictly targeting a management role today; I care most about impact and growth, and I like roles where leadership naturally expands alongside strong execution.

What is your definition of Product Design?

Product design is the process of turning user and business needs into clear, usable, and valuable experiences. It combines deep user understanding, systems thinking, and iterative testing to ensure we’re not just building the right features, but solving the right problems in the right way.

Do pineapples belong on pizza?

Absolutely it does. Ham and pineapple pizza is my favorite type of pizza. And I will die on this hill (of pineapples)… even if it cost me an employment opportunity!

Matt Plotner - Senior Product Manager at FieldLevel

“Kevin is also a natural leader as he proved when he led his own product team as he shifted into the product manager role during his later time at FieldLevel. I saw him and his team successfully deliver many new features and additions to the app.

Kevin also has great public speaking skills. He delivered many helpful presentations to the company outlining discovery and research that he was working through at the time.”
